Creative Cause, winner of last month’s G2-San Felipe Stakes, leads a field of 10 Kentucky Derby hopefuls in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby on Saturday at Santa Anita Park (Post time: 2:30 p.m. Pacific; TV: NBC). The Giant’s Causeway colt has won four races from seven starts, including the G2-Best Pal, G1-Norfolk and the aforementioned San Felipe. Trainer Mike Harrington has elected to take the blinkers off Creative Cause in the Santa Anita Derby in an effort to correct the colt’s tendency to drift in the final furlongs.
